ROMANIA is situated in the South-East of Central Europe. It has been a member of NATO since 2004 and a EU member since 1 January 2007. Its capital city is Bucharest which isalso the largest city of Romania and the 6^th largest city of EU. The national currency is Leu(the subdivision- Bani), symbol RON.  The exchange rate is approx.

4.22 RON for 1EUR and 3.00 RON for 1 USD. The climate of Romania is comfortable, tempered continental; the average temperature for July and August is 14-28 degrees Celsius, humidity 50 and a small amount of precipitations.

BRASOV is situated in a depression in the   

middle of the country at the bottom of 

mount Tampa, with about 300000 

inhabitants. It is an old city, with a medieval 

town center, being one of the most 

beautiful cities of Romania. Access by car is 

easy on the E60 or E68 roads. Access by 

train is through the Central Railway Station. 

There is no airport in Brasov –the nearest 

airports are in Bucharest (165km) and Sibiu (150km).

The OLYMPIC ICE-SKATING RINK        

of Brasov is located inside the city near the 

Central Railway Station. It was opened in 

February 2010 and is one of the most 

modern skating rinks of Europe. Access by 

car is easy. It is in good contact with all the 

locations of Brasov through the public 

transportation. It has 6 locker rooms with 

25 seats for ice-skaters and a shower room, 

locker rooms for the coaches, a dining

room, a first aid, two gyms, a ballet room, a 

reception for ice-skaters and trainers.

The ice-skating rink has standard 

dimensions 30/60 m and the inside 

temperature controlled at 15 Celsius 

degree.

TRAINING SCHEDULE: daily 9-18, Saturdays 9-14, Sundays free

Daily total: 3 hours of ice time

                 2 hours of off-ice  ( choreography, stretching, jumping technique, power tanning)

Saturdays: 2 hours of ice

Group I: Coroana Hotel in Brasov, double or triple room with bathroom and TV set

                Breakfast and dinner at the hotel

            Public transportation from hotel to ice rink

            Group supervisor and attendant

Group II: Cristudor Pension in Bran – 30 km from the ice rink, double or triple room with bathroom

            Breakfast and dinner at the hotel

Transport from ice rink to the “Aquatic Paradise” – entertainment swimming pool, Olympic pool, cold water pool, dry and wet sauna, relaxation room, trampoline, jaccuzi, slide.                                                                                           

ACCOMODATION:

Coroana Hotel Brasov 2*. It is located in the historical center of Brasov, in the pedestrian area.

It is situated inside a historical building of the city, clean and well maintained. It has its own restaurant.

Time necessary for reaching the skating rink: 20 minutes.

Cristudor Pension is a family hostel located in Bran (25km from Brasov). The rooms are clean and cosy, with rustic furniture. There is also a dining room. The Mansion is situated in a quiet area near the resort center. Transport to the ice-skating rink will take 35 minutes by minivan.

Hotel Capitol Brasov 3*. It is located in the historical center of Brasov 100 m from Hotel Coroana. It is well maintained. It has its own restaurant. Time necessary for reaching the skating rink:20 minute.

Payment is due until 20 May 2011 with a deposit of 40% of the package value.
